Here’s our Springtime Values Days flyer. This is coming out in the Sunday newspapers where we can. This is a great flyer and you want to make sure that get in.
Page One has Carhartt rain gear as well as announcing that we have Flame Resistant clothing. All of those are huge. We’ve also got a couple of our Honda generators which we have in all of our stores (Grand Forks, Grafton, Devils Lake, Minot, Williston and Jamestown.)
If you’re a pet owner you should be feeding them Science Diet. It’s a great item and it’s not all that expensive considering that your pets eat less because they get more.
Page two has More Carhartt, go figure. Carhartt is our number one thing and we’re very proud of the selection we have. There are some other Carhartt dealers around but they don’t offer a tenth of what we do. We’ve got the hi visibility workwear from Carhartt at 15% off. Taht’s a great value. We’ve also got the Carhartt jeans that you’re seeing more around town.
Page three has Wrangler products on it. And yes it’s a great line and we are doing very well on that as well. We’ve also got a few gloves on that page. We have a fantastic market share on gloves as well.
Now we’re moving on to page 4 where we have boots and boots and socks. We’ve really built up a great market share in muck boots and knee boats for the flood. We have safety toe boots like nobody else. We’ve got Ariat western boots for nearly everyone.
One tip you may not know is that if you were steel toe boots if you wear boots made for steel toed boots you’ll be a lot more comfortable.
Page five has some winter shovels and scrapers. Hopefully we won’t need them a lot longer.
We also have our Weber Grills featured on this page. We’ve had great growth in the last two years because we’ve made a commitment to being your Weber leader.
Page six is strongest in Dewalt power tools. This is another big success for us. that’s really become a major line for us.
Check out the trailer section on page 7. I can’t believe how many utility trailers that we sell. I didn’t think that many trailers sold in the entire region let alone by us.
Page 8 is dedicated to animals and pets. We’re also a leader in bird food. So if you have some of those little beggers around make sure you buy it from us because we have great quality at a very good price.
Page nine is dedicated to large animals, mostly for the cattle guys.
We do have our most popular grade 2 and grade 5 bolts on sale in this flyer. This brings in a lot of people to our stores.
Page ten is mostly intended for the farmers that are getting ready to get going again. Check out the Fill Rite gasoline pumps. We are the place to go for that stuff.
Page 11 continues what we were doing on page 11 for the farmers. We’ve got some great deals on air compressors which are doing very well for us. We’ve got roller chain, barn pain, shop towels and extension cords on sale. Don’t miss out.
Those Pro-Glo extension cords do very well for us. They have lighted ends so you know if you have power when you’re working. They also have a high quality covering that works great in all seasons.
And on the back page we have some real winners. Most importantly we have a great line up of pumps. check out our selection from Wayne, Honda, Pacer, and Simer. This is a really interesting piece in our Amish Gallery. It’s a vanishing TV stand. When you have company over you can push a button and your television disappears
I think it’s somewhat ironic that my picture picked up the view of the old style lanterns on the video we play in the department. While the Amish use traditional values in their craftsmanship they certainly aren’t afraid to offer the customer what they want in today’s modern world.
Our Amish Gallery is so far only available in Grand Forks North Dakota. But we do offer delivery to our branches as well as 100 miles from town.

Home of Economy has recently become full line dealer for Honda Power Equipment. Here’s a picture of some of the generators.
We have carried generators in our stores in Williston, Jamestown, Devils Lake and Grafton. We’ve done quit well with them, but now that we’ve added them into our Grand Forks and Minot stores you can get them across the state of North Dakota.
We’re very excited about this opportunity to sell another premium product.
We’ve got our current flyer out. I hope we have the product that you need.
The front page focus is on the Carhartt FR clothing. That’s really big in our stores in Williston and Minot North Dakota. We also stock it in Grand Forks and have a smaller selection in the other stores.
Also prominently features is our Science Diet which is doing very well for us.
Page two has more Carhartt, go figure. What can we say, we’re proud of what we have. Our Carhartt Jean business is doing very well. Belwo that we have boots from Carhartt, Wolverine and Justin.
Page 3 has product from Dickies. This is a great line as well, but a bit lower end than the Carhartt. It’s got a following and if that’s the price point you want we have it. We also have a nice trailering section. It’s a bit early to sell this stuff, but it’s never too late to get people thinking. We do a great job in the trailering business.
Page 4and five is bringing us back to our roots. We have a pretty good ranching following.

Page six is dominated by Dewalt Power tools. Over the last few years we’ve had 300% growth in the Dewalt line by going big. I think this ad is going to help us go further.
We’ve also got some pumps in the flyer. This is a bit early, but if you think you need a sump pump we have a great great preseason deal for you. That half horse Wayne sump pump is only going to be available at that price for a limited time.
Page 7 has some toys and household items. They aren’t real exciting but we need to keep our position in the customers mind as the place to go for that. That portable Weber gas grill is a great seller and with so many people coming here from out of state to work out west it should sell very well, even at this time of the year.
Finally we have our page 8 which is almost always tires, batteries and automotive. We’re working hard to bring our customers to the Cooper brand. It’s a good tire for the price, but it’s not the brand we built up over the years.

In the last couple of years we’ve become the biggest furniture account for Country View Furniture. That’s impressed the factory owners/craftsmen because they are coming up here today and tomorrow to see how we do it.
I think we do OK, but to give credit where credit is due, the reason we do so well with the Amish furniture is because it is made so well.
We have three people most responsible here today and tomorrow that are going to be in store to meet with you. If you’ve got ideas how you’d like some of their furniture to be custom made to your needs you can come in and talk to them about it.
I’m just excited they will be here because they really are great people to get to know.

One of many bright spots for us in the last couple years has been our sales in FR clothing. This isn’t an accident. Two years ago FR was a small category, but when we heard that OSHA was going to make a big deal about it we jumped on the bandwagon.
We decided that we were going to do what it takes to be the leader in Carhartt FR in North Dakota. There’s no doubt that we have been very successful.
We’ve made the investment to be able to serve our customers when they walk in and need some FR clothing right away. We’ve also got the resources to handle orders of any size when it comes to outfitting a large commercial account.
We have several commercial customers that know we have the product they need on hand so they can send their new guys in and get them on the job as soon as possible.
We stock a large amount of the FR product in Williston, Minot and Grand Forks. In our other stores in North Dakota, Jamestown, Devils Lake and Grafton we have some samples available and we will bring in the needed product from our other stores quicker than other people.

I was walking through the Amish Gallery the other day and was blown away by this beautiful Ceder Chest. The detail of the workmanship has got to be seen.
It’s fully lined with ceder to keep your fabrics in great condition while you store it.

Here’s our great new flyer that came out the other day.
We used to never advertise in January, but we found when we did that while sales aren’t ever going to be that great in January, we can make them better with advertising.
Really that only makes sense. Home of Economy has what you need, not what you can do with out. Since needs never stop we should do pretty well.
Not only that we’re from here and we are the experts in winter stuff. And we can certainly expect a lot more winter.
